Okinawa is known for its beautiful sea and Miyako-jima (Miyako Island) in Okinawa is said to have the best transparent waters. In order to let more people know the charm of “snow salt” made at the salt factory in Miyako-jima, “YUKISHIO KABO” (snow salt sweets series) was born.
YUKISHIO KABO aims to become Okinawa’s new classic confectionary souvenir. Without using traditional Okinawan colors and motifs, its concept is “Miyakojima’s gentle sweets”. Blue, which is the brand color of snow salt, is used to create a design inspired by Miyako-jima’s sea.
For each product name, we created a typography that allows us to imagine each product. Throughout the series, illustrations are used instead of photographs to depict the gentle and delicious baked confectionaries.
