"Premium Ayu Gift" is one of Ayu no Mise Kimura's finest gift items. Ayu no mise Kimura is a seafood manufacturer located in Shiga Prefecture, Japan that mainly deals in freshwater fish from Lake Biwa.
First of all, this package comes in a paulownia wood box. In Japan, there is an old custom of sending gifts in a paulownia box.

When you open the package in this wooden box, you will see blue waves. This is an image of the waves of Lake Biwa. Lake Biwa is the largest lake in Japan. I designed the box so that when you open the paulownia wood box, you can imagine Lake Biwa, where Ayu was born and raised. This wave-shaped paper box is a package for one ayu fish, and it is lined up five times (containing five fish) or three times (containing three fish).

And one wave paper box contains one fat ayu fish in soy sauce. Only large, fat ayu fish are carefully selected for this premium product. This is a special package of gift that tells the story of sweetfish grown in Lake Biwa."
